As part of ENERGY STAR’s “Brighten a Life Day” on October 25th, 2016, Danville Development conducted an energy-efficient light bulb exchange at all our properties.

ENERGY STAR certified LEDs use up to 90% less energy than standard bulbs, and last up to 25 times longer than an incandescent bulb. A single bulb can save $55 over the lifetime of the product and last over 12 years with typical use.

Danville purchased 750 LED 8.5 watt (equivalent to a 60-watt incandescent) light bulbs to provide for free to residents. The bulbs Danville purchased have a savings of $62 in energy cost over the average rated life (11,000 hrs.) for each bulb. The potential saving in energy cost for Danville Development portfolio-wide is approximately $46,500 over the average rated life of these bulbs.
